Social Media Extra Curricular Activities

I think that your social media posts should be grounds to getting you fired or banned from an extra curricular activity. One reason why I believe this is because someone might be making a threat and they might need to be stopped. For example, ¨After today, I am thinking the beach sounds like a wonderful idea for my 5th graders?¨ the teacher, Christine Rubio, wrote in 2010¨ Michael Gonchar, author of the article  Should What You Say on Facebook Be Grounds for Getting Fired? This event could have escalated into violence because it was on that same day that a student drowned at the beach. Also, it could help stop cyber bullying. This is because if you were bullying someone on social media you would be punished and if they are not punished and learn a lesson they will never stop. Finally, it could help stop crimes. This could be done when a criminal is talking about how they might rob the bank or do a crime. It would be noticed and the crime would be stopped because they would be fired from extra curricular activities  before it happens. These are a few reasons why I think you should get fired or banned from extra curricular activities if you have repeated bad posts on social media.
